Most L78's were ordered to compete in NHRA'S stock or super stock classes and many original engines expired at that time. This car is as close to a number's matching correct car you will find for the money. I have the NCRS shipping data report stating that this car was sold through Hansen Chevrolet in Los Angeles, California. This car is not a replica, resto-mod or cloan. It has a colorful SoCal drag racing history. Bolero Red with black interior. The engine block is from 1968, 396ci, 375HP 4-bolt main. Correct aluminum intake manifold with correct dated Holley double pumper carburetor, just restored. Muncie M22 4-speed close ratio transmission and a 12-bolt 3:31 posi-traction rear-end. This Camaro is period correct as you can see. A true California west coast car with no rust or accidents. Still carries the original dated seatbelts and all LOF tented glass. The interior is completely original with no ware or tears. One repaint in 1971 still shows well. This Camaro has been very well taken care of.
