We are the second owners of this beautiful Mercedes-Benz 380SL. We purchased this car in 1997 from friends of our parents who were the original owners. We have had a lot of fun driving this car over the years. It’s like owning three cars in one: a convertible with the top down to enjoy the warm weather, the car looks fabulous with the soft-top up, or the hard-top which you can enjoy year round. This vehicle has been well-maintained and is kept in a garage. It is covered and stored each year from late fall until spring. The dark brown soft-top is in excellent condition. The hard-top is included in the sale and is in excellent condition as we just got it out of storage. The body and interior are both in excellent condition. New tires, new exhaust. The car needs some mechanical: Lifters need repaired - cylinder 5 intake lobe on camshaft is worn and no longer rounded at the peak. Steering column - bearings have a flat spot (causing a noise in steering wheel) and rubber coupler is deteriorated. The radio works but the cassette player does not work.
