2005 F350 XLT, crew cab, long bed (8′). 6.0L Diesel, 211751 miles.
Nothing to hide on this truck. The rust is starting to take over the truck. It has rust on the bed wheel wells, rocker panels, bottom cab corners and the bed is starting to rust out. Please look at the pictures. They do no show all the rust but will give you a good idea.
The engine is original and stock. It has NOT been chipped out. It has the original Ford head bolts. The only things I have done is the EGR delete. Oil changed regularly with full synthetic about every 5000 miles. Fuel filter change every other oil change.
The main mechanical problem is it has HOT-NO START. The truck starts in the morning but after it warms up, if you turn it off, it won’t start again until the engine oil cools (2-3 hours). I believe that there is a small leak in the branch tube. This part is only about $150 but I’m estimating $4000 in labor from the dealership.
Since January I have done the following things:
-new dummy plugs, up feed tubes, HHC injector nipple cups and seals (April 2021)
-New stock fuel injectors (January 2021)
-new glow plugs and harnesses (March 2021)
-completely new from steering links (rod ends, tie rod, steering draw link)
-new IPR (injector pressure regulator)
– (2) new batteries (May 2021)
-serpentine belt (April 2021)
-new FICM (Sept 2020)
-New alternator (Aug 2020)
