Description:

2006 Ford F350 XLT Super Duty 4X4, 6 3/4 ft bed, 6.0 Diesel with 184,500 miles on it.

About 2 weeks ago I started getting lots of gray and black smoke and rough idle and running. I took the truck to two diesel shops for diagnosis and repair estimates. Both shops said that the Cylinder number 3 Fuel Injector has failed. I think the down pipe, Y-Pipe and manifold gaskets are leaking also? The cost estimates to replace all 8 Injectors and other parts and labor are too much for me to afford. I am going to sell my truck.

I have owned the truck since 2014. It has been used as a hobby farm truck, hauling hay bales, a trailer for wood and a horse trailer with horses.

The truck came with an EGR delete kit. I had all 8 glow plugs replaced about 2 years ago. I replaced the alternator this spring in 2023. The truck bed rusted out. I bought a truck bed from the guy off Hwy 53 and Melby in Lake Hallie. It has a sprayed in bed liner. I replaced the truck bed and painted it myself about 2 years ago.

I had a turnover ball installed several years ago at the place in Altoona when it had the old rusty bed. I didn't know how to cut the hole to put the turnover ball back in the new bed. The ball and hardware go with the truck but are not installed.

The truck has normal Minnesota and Wisconsin rust starting on rocker panels, bottom of doors. I have sprayed with rust stop and under coating to slow it down.
